Spike and Giles... Together at Last

After writing my post last night, I have received some e-mails and messages inquiring who the person in question was. Stop asking. I have absolutely no desire to create drama or hurt someone’s career. I felt it necessary to write about it so that anyone reading that post a) understood how it felt and b) doesn’t, in turn, do that to someone else. After all, you never know who you’re talking to and where they might wind up one day. As just one of many examples: many fans often pursue their dreams of becoming authors themselves. While there is a difference between acting like a fan and behaving like a professional, those of us who face the public must deal with and encounter both. (And I’m still learning… I suppose I will never stop, either.)

Also, I’ve received some recent inquiries about whether or not I’m taking on any more clients specifically for business consulting besides John Kovalic. You can always contact me and ask — but please keep in mind that I am an author myself. That work is vital to my sanity, my existence, and my dreams. The reason why John and I work so well together is because we respect one another regardless of how successful we are or aren’t. That’s the type of person I work best with.

For writing advice, however… I’m not in a position to provide anyone with anything other than this:

Step One: Write. If you are not writing, and you want to, then find out what’s preventing you from doing that.

Step Two: Remove or resolve whatever is stopping you from writing, no matter how long it takes.

Step Three: Write. Set smaller, achievable goals for yourself.

Step Four: Write. Pursue your goals.

    Step Five: Keep writing.

This post was more serious than I had intended it to be, but my brain is now working at full capacity. So with that, I must abandon you before I start pulling out all the stops on some other discourse that should be filed away under the most boringest conversation ever.

Full. Speed. Ahead.

Gah… Screw this Crimson Tide soundtrack. Back to Queen!

    Mood: Brain. Melt.
Caffeinated Beverages Consumed: No caffeine will fix the need for a day off.
Work-Out Minutes Logged Yesterday: I walked. I stood. I meandered. I carried luggage.
In My Ears: Now I’m Here by Queen
    Game Last Played: Crap
    Movie Last Viewed: Double crap.
    Latest Artistic Project: Triple crap.
Latest Release: “Fangs and Formaldehyde” from the New Hero anthology through Stone Skin Press
